TALON ORCHARD
The province produces only few varieties of cutflowers in
commercial-scale. These are orchids (white dendrobiums), roses, and
asters (white & lilac). Other low-grade varieties produced in
limited scale include dahlias, azucena, African daisies, assorted
heleconias, and gladiolus (orange). Orchid cutflower and heleconias were
at their production peak from1995 to 2000 with 4 commercial farms
producing an aggregate yield of 1,500 dozens per week.
MANTALINGA ISLAND
Nearby Mantalinga island which is a kilometer away from the shoreline of
Baybay beach has been identified as an ideal diving spot for scuba
divers and a perfect rotunda for sailboat (dilayag) and kayaking
contests. Recently nicknamed “Good Luck Island” by tourism consultants,
the place is believed to be a source of luck for local fisherfolk. They
write the names of their fishing boats on the side of the island before
they set out to sea for the first time.

Roxas City halaran plaza. This was a proposed by Roxas City Plaza Chess
Association Inc. as a landmark of Roxas City, Capiz supported by Mayor
Alan Celino.
Baybay Beach
Located at Baybay beach is a stretch of stalls serving the freshest seafood in town. These establishments offer a laid-back atmosphere where one can simply dine and relax to the refreshing sea breeze, sparkling fine gray sand, serene blue waters and pristine shoreline. It specializes in “talaba” steamed in hot boiling water or broiled over charcoal for P25-P35 pesos per basket. It also offers other mouth-watering dishes like chicken and pork barbecue, pantat, hito, squid, and other grilled delicacies at affordable prices. It is a perfect venue for an intimate dinner for 2 or lively family gatherings.
Culajao Mangrove Eco Park
The Culajao Mangrove Eco Park
is perfect for educational tours, barkada weekend excursions or a
simple family picnic. Recently the Culajao Mangrove
Eco Park has received a special citation as eco tourism product, during
the Western Visayas Tourism assembly. Culajao Mangrove Eco Park in Roxas
City, Capiz has the distinction of being a community protected mangrove
reserve and the only one within the city. It stretches within 4.69
hectares and home to diverse marine and mangrove species. From the road,
take a short walk under the shed of mangroves along the way to get to
the reception area.Mingle with nature and get a flight out in this world
relaxing in nipa huts of different size which can host at most 20
persons. They have several packages for tours that include a bamboo raft
(banca) ride along the river to get a closer look of the 19 species of
mangroves that serve as habitats for a vast variety of fishes,
crustaceans, mollusks, and shells. Listen to a live composo about
Mangroves and Culajao. Watch the herons and other exotic bird species
flying around catching fish. A fish cage is also available for hook and
line fishing. However they do not permit visitors to stay overnight or
just stay late at night in their cottages or nipa huts. Culajao Mangrove
Eco-Park is a 10-15 minute ride away from Roxas City plaza via the new
road traversing Brgy. Mongpong and Banica.
